Lervig Aktiebryggeri is a Norwegian brewery founded in 2003 in Stavanger, started by fund manager Kristoffer Stensrud. After hiring American brewer Mike Murphy as head brewer in 2010, the company turned toward craft beers, becoming known for heavy imperial stouts and hoppy New England style IPAs, and it was named to RateBeer's list of the Top 100 brewers in the world in 2014. Lervig exports about a third of its beer abroad, and in 2018 the American investment fund Orkila Capital purchased half of the company.
