Legoland Dubai Resort is a theme park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, designed primarily for children aged 12 and younger, that opened on 31 October 2016 as the first Legoland park in the Middle East and the seventh Legoland park built worldwide. Dubai Parks and Resorts owns the facility while Merlin Entertainments operates it. The park offers more than 40 rides, shows and Lego building experiences across six themed areas, Factory, Lego City, Imagination, Kingdoms, Adventure and Miniland, the last of which displays more than 20 million Lego bricks arranged into about 15,000 miniature models of landmarks and structures from around the world. The project had originally been planned to open in 2011 at a different Dubailand site before delays pushed its opening to 2016 at the current location.
