Korea Zinc Company is a non-ferrous metal smelter headquartered in Seoul, established in 1974 by Choi Ki ho and Chang Byung hee, whose two founding families have co-managed the company ever since. It processes raw materials ranging from zinc and lead concentrates to low grade ore and scrap metal into eighteen types of valuable metals and chemical products, and ranks among the world's leading refined zinc producers alongside competitors such as Nyrstar, Hindustan Zinc and Boliden.
