Koei Tecmo Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game, amusement and anime holding company formed in 2009 by the merger of Koei and Tecmo, briefly operating under the reversed name Tecmo Koei until 2014. Its flagship subsidiary, Koei Tecmo Games, founded in 1978 as Koei, owns the former Koei and Tecmo franchises and is known for the Atelier, Dead or Alive, Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Fatal Frame, Monster Rancher, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, as well as contributions to Square Enix's Final Fantasy and Intelligent Systems' Fire Emblem franchises.
