Kirkstall Brewery was a commercial brewing operation on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Kirkstall, Leeds, England, built up from maltings established in the late 1700s under Henry Cooper and Joseph Musgrave. Brewing began on the site in 1833, and the business was incorporated as the Kirkstall Brewery Company in 1871, operating as a commercial brewer for over 150 years. Whitbread bought the company in 1954 and closed the brewery in 1983; the surviving Grade II listed buildings were later converted into student housing, and a separate modern brewery has since taken up the Kirkstall Brewery name nearby.
