The Kent and East Sussex Railway is a heritage railway in South East England, running eleven and a half miles between Tenterden Town and Bodiam through Kent and East Sussex. It began as a standard gauge light railway that opened for freight in March 1900 and passengers that April, before losing its passenger service in 1954 and closing completely in 1961. A preservation group began reopening the line as a steam tourist railway in 1974, and it now operates as a heritage railway company with its main depot at Rolvenden.
