KB Financial Group is a South Korean financial holding company headquartered in Seoul, established in September 2008 through the restructuring of Kookmin Bank into a holding structure so the group could expand beyond banking. Its subsidiaries include Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance and KB Life Insurance, and the company trades on both the Korea Exchange and, as an American depositary receipt, the New York Stock Exchange. It is recognized as one of South Korea's domestically systemically important banks, reporting 2022 revenue of 17.2 billion US dollars, net income of 3.547 billion dollars and total assets of 508 billion dollars.
