Kai Bo Food Supermarket is a grocery store chain in Hong Kong, operating 91 supermarkets as of August 2018 and owning around 40 percent of its locations. Founded by Lam Hiu-ngai and a friend in 1991 as Zaak Hing Meat Shop in a wet market in Shau Kei Wan, Lam opened the first Kai Bo Food Supermarket in 1997. Unlike other Hong Kong supermarket chains, Kai Bo focuses on food and food products rather than household goods, importing most of its vegetables and fruit from mainland China and most of its meat from South America and the United States.
