Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited is a Hong Kong based, Bermuda domiciled conglomerate founded on July 1, 1832 by William Jardine and James Matheson, growing out of earlier trading partnerships into one of the original Hong Kong trading houses after the 1842 Treaty of Nanking. Headquartered at Jardine House in Hong Kong, it operates through major subsidiaries spanning engineering, construction and aviation services through Jardine Pacific, automotive sales through Jardine Motors, property investment through Hongkong Land, pan Asian retail through DFI Retail Group, luxury hospitality through the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and automotive distribution through Jardine Cycle and Carriage. In 2021 the group reported revenues of about 109.3 billion US dollars and more than 400,000 employees, and it trades primarily on the London Stock Exchange with secondary listings in Singapore and Bermuda.
