Intact Financial Corporation

Intact Financial Corporation is a Canadian general insurance holding company and the country's largest provider of property and casualty insurance, based in Toronto, Ontario, at the Intact Centre. It became independent in 2009 following ING Group's divestment of its Canadian operations. The firm operates insurance business spanning Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, continental Europe, and the United States, and is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker IFC. Its subsidiaries and brands include Intact Insurance, belairdirect, BrokerLink, and numerous specialty insurance operations. As of 2024 the company maintained a market capitalization of approximately 48 billion Canadian dollars and generated 22.4 billion Canadian dollars in annual premiums, up from 4.3 billion Canadian dollars in premiums during its founding year.
