Infrastrutture Wireless Italiane S.p.A., known as INWIT, is an Italian public company headquartered in Milan that operates in wireless network infrastructure. It was established on January 14, 2015 when Telecom Italia spun off its tower operations, and it is now Italy's largest tower operator, managing more than 11,000 wireless transmission towers nationwide. Beyond hosting equipment for mobile operators on its towers, the company has been building a Distributed Antenna System network to improve coverage in city centers, historic districts and large indoor venues such as stadiums and museums. INWIT went public on June 22, 2015, raising about 875 million euros, and is jointly owned by TIM Group and Vantage Towers, each holding just over 37 percent, serving as a neutral host for multiple telecommunications operators across Italy.
