Industrias Penoles is a Mexican mining company operated by Grupo BAL, founded in 1887 and headquartered in Mexico City. It is the second largest mining enterprise in Mexico and the leading domestic producer of gold, zinc and lead, and holds the position of the largest silver producer in the world, operating mines across Mexico including the Fresnillo Silver Mine and the Met-Mex Penoles metallurgical complex, with annual production of about 80.5 million troy ounces of silver and 756,100 troy ounces of gold along with zinc, lead, copper, bismuth and cadmium.
