IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is an American health care company headquartered in Westbrook, Maine, that develops diagnostic products and services, principally for veterinary medicine, along with related products for livestock and water quality testing. It was founded in 1983 by David Shaw, initially focused on developing diagnostic tests, and grew into the leading supplier of point-of-care and laboratory diagnostic testing equipment used by veterinary clinics. IDEXX supplies blood analyzers, diagnostic imaging systems, and laboratory testing services used by veterinarians to diagnose disease in companion animals and livestock.
