Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. is a Japanese petroleum company headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, founded on June 20, 1911. It owns and operates oil platforms and refineries and produces petroleum, oils and petrochemical products, operates gas stations under the apollostation brand, and previously ran Shell branded stations under license from Shell plc until 2023; it ranks as Japan's second largest petroleum refiner behind Eneos, and the 2008 Fortune Global 500 ranked it 262nd globally by revenue.
