Hogan Lovells was an American and British law firm co-headquartered in London and Washington, D.C., formed on May 1, 2010 through the merger of Hogan and Hartson, founded in 1904, and Lovells, whose United Kingdom origins trace to 1899. By 2024 the firm had grown to about 2,800 lawyers across 51 offices worldwide, making it the sixth largest law firm globally with annual revenue near 2.6 billion dollars. It provided general legal practice services across a broad range of sectors. Hogan Lovells ceased independent operations on June 30, 2026, when it merged with Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft to form Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, then the world's fifth largest law firm.
