HMM Company Limited, formerly known as Hyundai Merchant Marine, is a South Korean shipping and container transportation company established on March 25, 1976, with headquarters in both Seoul and Busan. It operates as a major global container shipping line carrying the largest portion of South Korea's exports, and became the country's leading national container carrier after the bankruptcy of rival Hanjin Shipping, running four international headquarters, 27 subsidiaries, 76 branches and further overseas and liaison offices. The company built some of the largest container vessels in the world, including the HMM Algeciras with a capacity of 23,964 twenty foot equivalent units launched in 2020, and reported 2022 revenue of about 11.5 trillion won.
