Heartland Bank is a New Zealand owned bank offering motor vehicle loans, reverse mortgages, small business finance, livestock finance, and savings, investment and deposit products, serving both New Zealand and Australia. It was formed on 5 January 2011 through the merger of four financial entities, including CBS Canterbury, Southern Cross Building Society and MARAC Finance, and received its bank registration from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in December 2012. Headquartered in Auckland, it is a publicly listed company on the New Zealand stock exchange, trading as Heartland Group Holdings.
