Hankai Tramway

Hankai Tramway is a public-private Japanese corporation that owns and operates two tramway lines, the Hankai Line and the Uemachi Line, in the cities of Osaka and Sakai, Osaka, Japan. It became an independent company in 1980 after splitting off from Nankai Electric Railway, whose original tramway operation dated to 1910; Nankai now holds all shares in Hankai and Hankai continues to use the Nankai symbol as its logo. Its two lines, totalling roughly 18 kilometres with 41 stops, are a remnant of what was once a much larger Osaka tram network that declined with motorization and subway expansion.
