Hana Financial Group is a South Korean financial holding company headquartered in Seoul and led by chief executive Kim Jung tai, established in December 2005 when Hana Bank was delisted and reorganized as a subsidiary beneath a new holding structure. Its portfolio of subsidiaries includes Hana Bank along with securities, insurance and investment businesses, and the group expanded significantly by acquiring Korea Exchange Bank in 2012 and merging it into Hana Bank in 2015. The group maintains operations across 24 countries, with investments in banking institutions throughout Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
