The Hakodate Transportation Bureau is a public transport operator run by the city government of Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. It has operated trams in the city since horse-drawn cars began service in 1897, with the network electrified in 1913 and municipal ownership taken up in 1943. The bureau ran city bus routes until 2003 and now concentrates on its tram network, two routes across four lines covering about 10.9 kilometers with 26 stations, carrying roughly 3.5 million riders a year as of 2021.
