Chedraui is a publicly traded Mexican grocery and department store chain founded in 1927 by Lebanese immigrant Lazaro Chedraui Chaya and his wife Ana Caram, headquartered in Xalapa. It operates stores under multiple banners including Chedraui in Mexico, El Super in several United States states and Fiesta Mart in Texas, employs about 38,000 people, and reported revenue of 4.7 billion dollars in 2016, trading on the Mexican Stock Exchange under the ticker CHEDRAUI.
