Grupo Carso, S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexican multinational conglomerate owned by businessman Carlos Slim, established in 1990 through the merger of Corporacion Industrial Carso and Grupo Inbursa. Its name combines Carlos Slim with Soumaya Domit de Slim, his spouse. The conglomerate operates across industrial manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and infrastructure from its headquarters at Plaza Carso in Mexico City, and as of May 2014 had a market capitalization exceeding 12 billion dollars.
