George Weston Limited is a Canadian holding company operating as a food processing and distribution company, headquartered at 22 St. Clair Avenue East in Toronto, Ontario. It was established in 1882 by George Weston in Toronto as a bakery business. The company now consists of two main subsidiaries, a controlling interest in Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada's largest supermarket retailer, and ownership of the Choice Properties real estate investment trust. It operates numerous grocery store banners across Canada and manages private label brands including President's Choice, No Name, and Joe Fresh. Wittington Investments, Ltd Canada, a holding company controlled by the Weston family, owns approximately 63 percent of the company, which divested its historic bakery operations in 2022.
