Fremont Brewing is a craft brewery in the West Woodland area of the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, founded in 2009 by Sara Nelson and Matt Lincecum. It also runs a taproom and beer garden in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood and ranks as the third largest craft brewery in Washington state and the state's biggest producer of barrel-aged beer. The company distributes to seven states, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Colorado, Montana and California, and built a newer Ballard production facility with capacity for 250,000 barrels a year, placing it among the larger craft breweries in the country. In 2017 it launched the Black Heron Project, a line focused on farmhouse and barrel-aged beers.
