Fox Corporation is an American mass media company headquartered in New York City, created in 2019 when the Walt Disney Company acquired most of 21st Century Fox's entertainment assets and the remaining news, sports and broadcast businesses were spun off under the Fox name. It owns Fox News, Fox Sports, the Fox Broadcasting Company and a group of local television stations, and is controlled by the Murdoch family, with Rupert Murdoch as chairman emeritus and his son Lachlan Murdoch as chairman and chief executive.
