Five Guys is an American multinational fast food chain specializing in hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries, founded in Arlington, Virginia in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell and still privately held by the Murrell family. Franchising began in 2003 and drove rapid growth, with the chain later cited as the fastest growing fast food chain in the United States on the strength of a sales increase of nearly a third between 2010 and 2011. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, Five Guys now operates more than 1,900 locations across more than 26 countries and reported 2023 revenue of about 2.3 billion dollars.
