Figma, Inc. is a publicly traded software company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker FIG, headquartered in the Phelan Building in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 2012 by Dylan Field and Evan Wallace while they were computer science students at Brown University, and released its first public version on September 27, 2016. Figmas flagship product is a collaborative, web-based application for user interface design that lets multiple people edit the same mobile app, website or illustration design at the same time; the company reported 13 million users as of 2025. Beyond the core design tool, Figma offers complementary products including FigJam for whiteboarding, Figma Slides for presentations, Figma Sites for web publishing, Figma Make for AI-assisted prototyping, Figma Buzz for marketing content, Figma Draw for vector illustration, and Figma Weave for AI media editing.
