Ferrovienord, known before 2006 as Ferrovie Nord Milano Esercizio, is an Italian joint-stock transport company headquartered in Milan and founded in 1985 as a subsidiary of Ferrovie Nord Milano, managing the group's regional railway concessions across northern Italy. The company operates a 319-kilometer network of 120 stations divided into two branches: the Milan branch, serving Brianza, Como, Varese and Milan-Malpensa Airport, and the Iseo branch, running the Brescia-Iseo-Edolo railway; most lines run on 3,000-volt DC electrification, apart from two diesel-operated lines on the Brescia-Edolo and Bornato-Rovato routes. In 2008 the company reported revenue of 84,013,421 euros, net income of 3,468,270 euros, and 931 employees.
