Experian plc

Experian plc is a multinational data broker and consumer credit reporting company headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and one of the Big Three credit reporting agencies alongside TransUnion and Equifax. The company was established in 1996, though its roots trace to Credit Data Corporation, which was acquired by TRW Inc. in 1968, and it provides credit reporting, decision analytics and marketing services to businesses from operational centres across the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, Singapore and India. Beyond credit reporting, Experian sells consumer data and targeting tools to businesses, and under United States law it must provide consumers with one free credit report each year. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange as a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
