Entergy Corporation is an American energy company headquartered in New Orleans, descended from the Middle South Utilities holding company formed in 1949 and renamed Entergy in 1989. It generates and delivers electricity to customers across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, and it operates one of the largest nuclear power generating fleets in the American South, making nuclear generation a central part of its business.
