The Dorotheum is one of the worlds oldest auction houses and the largest auction house for art items in continental Europe. It was established in 1707 by Emperor Joseph I and operates from its headquarters on Dorotheergasse in Vienna, conducting auctions of artwork, antiques, furniture and jewelry alongside a significant retail division, with a presence across multiple European cities including Prague, Milan, Rome, Dusseldorf, Munich and Brussels.
