Distributel is a Canadian telecommunications brand established in 1988 by Mel Cohen and based in Toronto, Ontario, operating as a subsidiary of Bell Canada following its acquisition in September 2022. The company provides residential and business telecom services across Canada, including high speed internet plans in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta as well as VoIP phone service and internet protocol television; originally founded to challenge Bell Canada's monopoly on long-distance calling, it has grown through multiple acquisitions into a broader internet service provider offering bundled connectivity to Canadian consumers and small and medium enterprises.
