Diários Associados

The Diários Associados, or Associated Dailies, are a Brazilian media conglomerate created by Assis Chateaubriand, uniting a large group of Brazilian communication properties under one ownership. The group once owned Rede Tupi, Brazil's first television network, operated through its affiliate Rede de Emissoras Associadas from 1950 to 1980. As described in the source, the group comprises fifty communication outlets, including fifteen newspapers, twelve radio networks, eight television networks, nine internet portals and five other sites, one foundation and five other companies, and it was once the largest media corporation in the history of the Brazilian press.
