DenizBank A.S., whose name means Sea Bank, is a major private Turkish financial institution headquartered in Sisli, Istanbul, founded in 1997. It has changed foreign ownership twice, having been controlled by the Belgian and French financial group Dexia and later by the Russian bank Sberbank between 2012 and 2019, before its current owner, the Dubai based Emirates NBD, acquired it. The bank operates several hundred branches in Turkey and trades on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker DENIZ.
