DCC Energy plc, formerly known as DCC plc, is a multi-energy sales and distribution business operating across Europe and the United States, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded on 9 April 1976 in Dublin by Jim Flavin as the venture capital firm Development Capital Corporation Limited, before pivoting in the mid-1980s into an industrial holding company that expanded through acquisitions in heating oil, LPG, petrol station networks and renewable energy services. In July 2026 the company adopted its current name to reflect a renewed focus on energy after selling its healthcare division and divesting its technology operations. DCC Energy is listed on the London Stock Exchange as a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
