DBS Bank Ltd

DBS Bank Ltd is a Singaporean bank headquartered in Singapore, the largest bank in Southeast Asia by assets. It was established in 1968 as the Development Bank of Singapore, a government-created institution tasked with financing Singapore's industrial development in the years after independence, and it later diversified into full commercial and retail banking under the shortened DBS name. The bank remains majority owned, through Temasek Holdings, by the Singaporean state investment company, while operating as a publicly listed commercial bank with a large retail and wealth management presence across Singapore, Hong Kong, mainland China, India, Indonesia and Taiwan. DBS has been recognized in various years as one of the world's safest and most digitally advanced banks.
