Dassault Systemes, abbreviated 3DS, is a French multinational software corporation that develops software for three dimensional product design, simulation and manufacturing. Founded in 1981 and based in Velizy-Villacoublay, France, it operates from 184 offices worldwide, and its portfolio includes the design platforms CATIA and SolidWorks, the manufacturing operations tool DELMIA, and the simulation software SIMULIA. Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault, the holding company of the Dassault Group, is the largest shareholder.
