Darden Restaurants

Darden Restaurants is an American multi-brand restaurant company headquartered in Orlando, Florida, spun off from General Mills in 1995 and named for William Darden, who founded the Red Lobster chain in 1968. It describes itself as the world's largest full service restaurant company, operating more than 2,100 locations under brands including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Eddie V's Prime Seafood, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, Yard House and Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. The company sold Red Lobster itself to Golden Gate Capital in 2014 and trades on the New York Stock Exchange as part of the S&P 500.
