CTT Correios de Portugal

CTT Correios de Portugal is a Portuguese company headquartered in Lisbon that operates as both the national postal service of Portugal and a commercial group with subsidiaries in banking, e-commerce and other postal services. It was founded on November 6, 1520, as the Correio Publico by King Manuel I, and is described as the oldest company still in operation in Portugal. CTT became a public limited company in 1991, listed its shares on Euronext Lisbon in December 2013, and was privatized by the Portuguese government in 2014 to raise funds and meet European Union bailout conditions; its shares are a component of the PSI-20 index.
