Copart, Inc. is a multinational provider of online vehicle auction and remarketing services to automotive resellers such as insurance, rental car, fleet and finance companies in eleven countries, founded in 1982 by Willis J. Johnson and headquartered in Dallas, Texas. It operates more than 200 physical locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Brazil, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman and Finland, holding over 10,000 acres of vehicle inventory, and sells used, wholesale and repairable vehicles through weekly and biweekly online auctions using its proprietary VB3 auction technology.
