Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited is the listed jewellery arm of the Chow Tai Fook group, a Hong Kong-based, privately owned conglomerate with holdings spanning jewellery, property development, hotels, department stores, transportation, energy, telecommunications, ports and casinos. The group traces its origin to 1929, when founder Chow Chi-yuen opened a jewellery store in Guangzhou, China, later moving to Macau in 1940 and then to Hong Kong; it is headquartered at New World Tower in Hong Kong and remains controlled by the Cheng Yu-tung family. Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited has been listed since 2011, alongside the group's other listed subsidiary New World Development, and the group's listed market capitalization exceeded HK$105.7 billion as of 2018, with Henry Cheng serving as director and chairman of the jewellery division.
