China Overseas Land and Investment Limited is a Hong Kong listed, mainland Chinese state-owned property development company headquartered in Hong Kong. It was founded in 1979 as a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, one of China's largest state-owned construction conglomerates, and grew into one of mainland China's largest residential property developers by contracted sales, benefiting from its state-owned parentage and a comparatively conservative balance sheet relative to many privately owned Chinese developers.
