Chello was a cable broadband internet brand operated by Liberty Global European operations, launched in 1998 and offered in Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Slovakia, with a brief presence in New Zealand through TelstraSaturn. It offered tiered service packages, from Chello Starter through Chello Extreme, along with open access content portals carrying local news and entertainment and included email addresses. The brand was phased out beginning in the mid-2000s and replaced by successor brands including UPC in several countries, ComHem in Sweden, Get in Norway, Virgin Media in Ireland and Telenet in Belgium.
