The Central Kansas Railway (CKR) was a short-line railroad company that operated 900 miles (1,400 kilometres) of trackage across Kansas and west to Scott City, Kansas, all of it former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway branch lines in Kansas and northern Oklahoma. Its sister company, the Kansas Southwestern Railway, which operated former Missouri Pacific Railroad branch lines in Kansas, was merged into the CKR in 2000. Owned by Omnitrax, the Central Kansas Railway drew its main business from the Kansas wheat harvest, along with other rail traffic.
