Cboe Global Markets, Inc., formerly CBOE Holdings and the Chicago Board Options Exchange, is an American financial exchange operator founded by the Chicago Board of Trade in 1973 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It owns the largest exchange for trading options in the United States with about 30 percent market share, the third largest exchange for trading equities with about 10 percent market share, and operates the largest stock exchange in Europe with about 25 percent market share, offering trading in options, North American and European and Asia Pacific equities, VIX futures and foreign exchange.
