Canva, Inc. is an Australian multinational software company headquartered in Sydney that provides a graphic design platform for creating visual content such as presentations, websites and other digital products. It was founded on January 1, 2013 in Perth, Australia by Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht and Cameron Adams. The platform operates on a freemium model with a drag and drop interface that lets people without professional design training create templates for presentations, posters and social media content, along with photo and video editing tools. Canva has grown to own several subsidiaries, including Pixabay, Pexels, the Affinity suite from Serif, and Leonardo.ai; as of 2025 the company reported more than 265 million monthly active users and over 31 million paid subscribers.
