The Callander and Oban Railway was a Scottish railway company established to link the seaport of Oban to the rest of the railway network. The company's line ran from Callander through remote and thinly populated terrain in the Scottish Highlands, and a persistent shortage of money meant the route was built and opened in stages between 1866 and 1880.
