Burgerliches Brauhaus Munchen was a large scale Munich brewery that came into existence in 1880, when the Zenger Brewery of the Hierl family was converted into a public limited company. It operated a brewery, a malthouse and four beer halls and gardens in Munich, including the Burgerbraukeller in Haidhausen, and owned the Hellquell and Triumphator beer trademarks. The company merged into Lowenbrau effective September 1, 1920, with the merger formally completed on December 28, 1921.
