Budimex is a Polish construction and engineering group headquartered in Warsaw. Its origins date to 1968, when the state trading body Centrala Handlu Zagranicznego Budownictwa Budimex was established for construction related foreign trade. The company was privatized in 1992 and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 1995, and in 2000 the Spanish infrastructure firm Ferrovial became its strategic majority investor. Budimex offers general construction and engineering services across infrastructure, including roads, railways, airports, commercial buildings, energy and industrial construction, and has expanded into renewable energy development, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, facility management, waste services and steel structure manufacturing. The group employs more than 7,000 people and operates both across Poland and in foreign markets including Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Latvia.
