Brooks Brothers is an American clothing retailer founded on April 7, 1818, by Henry Sands Brooks, and is described as the oldest American apparel brand in continuous operation in the United States. The company sells clothing for men, women, and children and licenses its name for eyewear, fragrances, and home goods. As of 2025 it is owned by Catalyst Brands alongside JCPenney, Aeropostale, Eddie Bauer, Lucky Brand Jeans, and Nautica, having previously been owned by a joint venture between Authentic Brands Group and Simon Property Group from 2020 to 2025.
